Trio norvegese tutt'ora in attività, anche se l'ultimo disco risale a ben vent'anni fa, che in questo debutto concretizzava un particolare ibrido fra Dead Can Dance e Cocteau Twins, col surplus del loro dna scandinavo (provengono da una cittadina situata al Circolo Polare Artico) che infonde imponenza e magniloquenza. Sotto i riflettori la voce della Drecker, cantante dotata di un timbro fascinoso e calzante per le ottime composizioni, indugianti in un gotico etereo con influssi etnici disparati e poliritmiche ai limiti del synth-wave. Un complesso abbastanza ambizioso, variegato e ben riuscito, che oggi è invecchiato un po' maluccio soltanto per le sonorità troppo '80 e le relative tastiere, verso le quali ho un rigetto che probabilmente non mi passerà mai. Ma certi pezzi sono davvero molto belli.
